We believe in the philosophy of working hard and smart while having fun too. We currently have an opening for a University Relations Intern. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who wants to get some hands on experience in the business world. The University Relations role encompasses sales to universities of AfterCollege's resources. As an intern within the University Relations team, you will assist team members to make it possible for them to reach out to universities. Responsibilities: - Perform internet research and correspond with faculty via phone and email to confirm school, department, contact and other relevant information. - Assist University Relations Staff in conceptualizing and creating email campaigns and other correspondence that impulse faculty to engage in dialogue with AfterCollege with the goal of deepening our faculty relationships and usage of our career networks. - Participate in webinars and other presentations to faculty. - Make suggestions on ways to streamline department processes. - Demonstrate the highest degree of personal and professional integrity. - Updating contacts in an outreach database to make sure that the information is current and up to date - Help to identify target areas based on historical data - Updating records using Salesforce.com - Sending out emails and making phone calls to ensure that the contacts are correct - General quality control of several databases
Experience/Skills Desired: - Excellent telephone and interpersonal (listening and verbal) communication skills - Highly communicative, well-organized and detail-minded - Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks, simultaneously - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet objectives - Completed junior year or above in undergraduate studies - Basic computer literacy required including a moderate understanding of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook ) preferred Basic office equipment skills - Able to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
